Unknown Speaker 5 (2:03): Well, we are at the end of it, and we finally got a taste of the Real Housewives of Rhode Island reunion part two. So glad it was only two parts. This reunion really centered, and this is why it was so exciting to watch, the significant others, the men take center stage and they're discussing the highs and the lows of the season. We have Jerry and Liz who address the rumors about their marriage. These are questions that make me go, Billing makes a new kind of proposal to Alicia, which was sort of endearing.
Unknown Speaker 5 (2:35): And Brian is really the center of this controversy. He's in the hot seat to answer all of the hard questions and really urged on by Jared to tell Rula everything. So this reunion was about some themes, infidelity, legal troubles, and strained marriages and friendships.
Unknown Speaker 6 (2:54): Definitely was, and it was good. I too am so happy that it was only two parts. I said, yes. Bravo gods. Thank you.
Unknown Speaker 6 (3:04): Because they stretch it out too much sometimes.
Unknown Speaker (3:08): I think so. I think so.
Unknown Speaker 6 (3:10): Okay. So obviously the main attraction was Rula Bryan versus Jo Ellen. Really just Jo Ellen, but her husband was nicely jumping in and having her back, which I like that. So that was huge. And I have to say, I'm really proud of Rula for how she kind of stood up for herself.
Unknown Speaker 6 (3:33): And during the season, she was a little meek and you could tell she was going through so much and always getting sick, but I feel like she's getting her spark back. Like, was really arguing back with Jo Elland.
Unknown Speaker 5 (3:47): Yeah. Think Rula is a lot more with it and on it and more intelligent the edit actually gave her credit for. I wonder if part of her absence on our screens during the season was because maybe she just wasn't comfortable with the cameras in light of all of the accusations about infidelity that she's going through and now there's a legal piece to it. So
Unknown Speaker 6 (4:12): This poor woman, she's got a lot to deal with, and I can completely see where she's coming from, why she doesn't wanna leave her husband.
Unknown Speaker (4:22): Yeah.
Unknown Speaker 6 (4:23): I understand that because as far as she knows, this is the only instance of infidelity. So it's not like he's known for going around town. It was just this one person. It's just that he happened to pick someone who wants to be in the spotlight as well, possibly, allegedly. Because she's out here posting.
Unknown Speaker 6 (4:44): So she actually posted something that I saw and it was like, nothing you wanna see. This isn't verbatim. She said, nothing about me and him are gonna be on my social media. I have all the screenshots. So is this woman trying to be a housewife or what?
Unknown Speaker 5 (5:02): I don't know, but I don't think that this is his only instance of cheating. I think Brian has been cheating for a while and what we can see, what we do know now is that Rulis has known the entire time about his infidelity. Mean, she lives with them, and they have trackers.
Unknown Speaker (5:20): Yeah, what
Unknown Speaker 5 (5:22): stood out for me is that she really resented Joelle and continually bringing it up in front of the group. And I have to ask, was and I'm shifting on this, I'm shifting on this where as before I thought Joellen was trying to be a girl's girl and, you know, help rule to see the light, maybe possibly leaning into the fact that this was an experience she watched her mother go through. I think I've said that before time and time again, but now I'm of the mindset after watching this reunion. No, Jo Ellen just has a need to be right. And maybe this is more about her clapping back on the fact that Brian called her job and now this is payback.
Unknown Speaker 6 (6:03): Absolutely. I think that theory holds really strong. Yeah. Because so I felt. After the midseason, I was like, okay, Jo Ellen, girl, leave it alone.
Unknown Speaker 6 (6:17): Like, it's enough. She knows he's cheating. He knows he's cheating. We all know he cheated supposedly, but you could tell the guy was lying. And I get that Jo Ellen or allegedly lying.
Unknown Speaker 6 (6:30): And I get that Jo Ellen wants to, like, be right and prove her point. Even her husband said that, but enough is enough. It's getting to the point where I feel like a 40 year old woman is acting almost like a child.
Unknown Speaker 5 (6:44): Yeah. It was getting exhaust it was getting exhausting watching her just And clap and and you just really got the feeling she wanted to be right. And I'm like, who is this person that is doing this deep dive on her castmate about what's going on in her marriage when really the person needing to do the deep dive is Rula, who obviously has the receipts, but she's possibly just not speaking up on it for legal reasons, for pride, whatever, whatever, whatever. Mean, Joellen alleges on stage that Brian told the mistress that he was tracking rulers so that he would not catch them together, which leans into what you had said earlier when we first started covering this, that maybe that's why the tracking device was there so that he could keep track as to when Rula would be in the area while he was doing whatever he was doing. So that totally, totally makes sense.
Unknown Speaker 6 (7:35): And I guess it tracked. I guess that really was why.
Unknown Speaker (7:37): Legitimately tracking.
Unknown Speaker 6 (7:38): Of course. She has one as well. Because she said we have trackers on each other. I don't know how he got away with it. If she had a tracker.
Unknown Speaker 6 (7:47): That's why I feel like she might've knew. You know? Don't you
Unknown Speaker (7:52): think? Oh, definitely.
Unknown Speaker 6 (7:53): Definitely. We have a woman's intuition. If your man is acting shady out of nowhere, taking all these calls, and then she was a partner, so I guess that's also kinda why it was confusing for Rula, really. Because it's like, okay, I have to spend time with her. She was part owner, in his business.
Unknown Speaker 5 (8:16): I guess the question to ask is why Rula would stay activated. And I think the reunion answers this pretty obviously is that
Unknown Speaker (8:24): this
Unknown Speaker 5 (8:25): is a spouse who allegedly placed a tracking device on her car. And this has kind of trained what some would consider her nervous system to kind of be scanned for threat. Like she's living in threat mode. And this is what the edit can also frame as her being combative or Messi reads more accurately as really her being in trauma response to these accusations that Joella keeps throwing at her, and she doesn't really have a safe space to land to even process or deal with it. She's literally on an island.
Unknown Speaker 6 (9:00): No. I agree. She doesn't have her husband. She I hope she has sisters or close friends or someone that she can, like, vent to and talk to the way we do when something's wrong because you cannot keep that inside.
Unknown Speaker (9:15): No, you I
Unknown Speaker 6 (9:15): really hope she has a therapist, an outlet of any kind.
Unknown Speaker 5 (9:21): Which should be the friend group, but the friend group is not a safe space to land because even though she's stating her position as she's experiencing it in her household, is that Brian is trying to fizzle things out with the affair. He's trying to And fizzle things the affair is winding down. It sounds like she's pushing this narrative that they're trying to deal with it. And then Jo Ellen comes in, here she comes with anniversary dates, implying that the timeline of her marrying Brian overlaps with the relationship that Brian had with the Spanish teacher. And then she goes and she pulls up Court Connect from Rhode Island Public Records Portal to back the inference that maybe he's a polygamist.
Unknown Speaker 5 (10:10): And this is really the moment that I think Rula started to just really crash out, and understandably so.
Unknown Speaker 6 (10:16): Yeah. She's she was so tired of the constant attacks the entire day, And it was like that side of the couch. It was like the right side versus the left side. They I and I was team left side of the couch from the screen. Like the
Unknown Speaker (10:33): Yes.
Unknown Speaker 6 (10:33): Rosie versus Kelsey. I'm team Rosie. Now with Rula and Jo Ellen, I feel like Jo Ellen is a tad or a lot performative for the show because she obviously watched Housewives. She knows what the show's about. I also think this is very much her personality for real.
Unknown Speaker 6 (10:55): And her husband did say that as well. So what do you think? Is she being performative or do you think she's really like this?
Unknown Speaker 5 (11:04): Oh, I think it's a combination of both. But then another thing came to mind is like, what's really what are you really hiding under your covers? Because somebody's so invested in just bringing someone else down. I mean, she better hope that next season, which I could see a world where next season she's the target, that her skeletons stay in her closet, whatever they are. And I just have this inkling that there's a lot.
Unknown Speaker 6 (11:25): We've heard all the allegations. They seem to be very fluid in the way they talk and flirt. I mean, she was saying right on the couch, I'm gonna F you after this. That was great. So I do think maybe, yeah, she's got some skeletons of her own.
Unknown Speaker 6 (11:44): I would be careful if I'm
Unknown Speaker 5 (11:46): I'd be very careful. I I'd be extremely, extremely, extremely careful. I've gotta just move on and talk about Alicia. Alicia is a housewife like no other. Okay.
Unknown Speaker 5 (11:57): So we always know that there's certain archetypes in each franchise and they're pretty prescriptive, you know? But Alicia's archetype is really this comfort character.
Unknown Speaker (12:10): I know.
Unknown Speaker (12:10): Where levity
Unknown Speaker (12:11): I love her.
Unknown Speaker 5 (12:12): Yeah, where levity and authenticity lands every time. Mean, yeah, her and Billie are working through some long standing issues involving a prenup and finances and home ownership, and she's definitely keep my head in the sand. Just don't tell me the details, just tell me what it is so I can go back to playing with my dolls, if you will. But her turkey pepperoni crackers, which sounds so good right now at the moment, her twenty minute attention to driving drive span, if you will.
Unknown Speaker (12:44): Yeah. That's all I can do.
Unknown Speaker 5 (12:46): She's just got this personality that you wanna root for her. Like what is not to love about her? And I don't think she really cares about cameras. I think this is who Alicia is through and through, and she didn't disappoint in a reunion at all.
Unknown Speaker 6 (13:00): And now that you said that, I agree with everything you said. I absolutely adore her. Who doesn't? She is just the cutest and there really is no one like her. I love a cracker.
Unknown Speaker 6 (13:11): Like, now that's this infamous line that's everywhere. I love it for her. And now she's getting her own cracker, whether it's a line or a brand deal. Good for you, girl. But what now you brought her up, what did you think about her and Billy?
Unknown Speaker 6 (13:26): Because I found that so adorable and sweet. Like, the gesture that he made. He's a nice guy.
Unknown Speaker 5 (13:36): You have to wonder, you know, as they're required to watch the show pre reunion, did he look at himself and how he came across and decided to do better? I think sometimes when husbands see themselves, especially husbands acting badly or spouses or boyfriends, what have you acting badly, see themselves in the edit, it makes them think, okay, woah.
Unknown Speaker (13:56): Yeah.
Unknown Speaker (13:57): You know? And we saw that with Megan King, I'm thinking a while back where her husband, Jim Edmonds, yeah, I don't like the way I showed up and
Unknown Speaker (14:04): think next season, yeah,
Unknown Speaker 5 (14:06): think next season he tried to, you know, come correct, but obviously that relationship didn't work out because I think underneath it, was just a very difficult husband possibly to be married to. I think at least he tried. Or maybe he's just difficult to be married to her. You know, who knows?
Unknown Speaker 6 (14:21): Who knows? Because they were both kind of, Well, you then that's what Bravo's for. Right? These big polarizing personalities. I can honestly say I feel like every single person minus Ashley is such a strong personality and polarizing in their own right.
Unknown Speaker 6 (14:39): I love all these women. I don't dislike Ashley. I just think she's not in your face. She doesn't have the charisma necessarily.
Unknown Speaker 5 (14:48): I don't know where she sits with these women aside from being Rosie's best friend. I don't know
Unknown Speaker (14:52): Good point.
Unknown Speaker 5 (14:53): Where she sits with them. She she doesn't get activated. She runs from conflict. It's just she's a hard sell for me on this beautiful, as she is, great wife, has wonderful assets, but I just don't think it plays up on this franchise, which is very conflict oriented. Like, they're going to read you.
Unknown Speaker 5 (15:14): They're to hold you accountable, they're going to do all the things, they're going to drag you. Maybe at the end of the day, they'll be friends. I don't see how Ashley, as we've come to know her in the edit, if this is really how she is, conflict avoidant and all the things, I don't see how that's going to stand up against this powerhouse of a cast.
Unknown Speaker 6 (15:38): I absolutely agree. She doesn't and this is not to be mean because I feel as though she's such a nice woman. You could be her friend, go grocery shopping together, go shopping together, anything. But she's just not good for this particular show or maybe housewives in general.
Unknown Speaker (15:58): I don't think she's good for housewives in general.
Unknown Speaker 6 (16:00): I don't think so. I
Unknown Speaker (16:01): have I'm sorry. I hate to say it. I hate to be
Unknown Speaker (16:04): We don't wanna be mean.
Unknown Speaker 5 (16:07): No. But I have to be truthful as I experience it as a viewer and then somebody analyzing it. I'm waiting. I'm waiting. I'm waiting for something.
Unknown Speaker 5 (16:15): And I'm hearing from her, let's see you position. If you're Rosie's best friend, it would have been interesting to see her position herself as kind of helping her fight her battles with Kelsey.
Unknown Speaker 6 (16:30): I would've. That's what I would've done if I was
Unknown Speaker 5 (16:32): I think so. I know so. I know so for a fact. Right? But
Unknown Speaker 6 (16:36): If that's your friend, I get that she's non confrontational, you could say, Hey, in a nice way. You could say something.
Unknown Speaker (16:45): But the show is about confrontation. Something.
Unknown Speaker 6 (16:48): Was so quiet and Liz was so quiet. This show is about confrontation. You're absolutely right.
Unknown Speaker 5 (16:53): Yeah. I definitely wanna get to the Liz of it all. But before we get into that, can we talk about Kelsey?
Unknown Speaker (17:02): Sure.
Unknown Speaker 5 (17:02): And Rosie, I'm a little confused. I'm a little confused, and maybe I'm the only one that's confused, but I think Kelsey positioning herself as the morality voice on Rosie's alleged affair is a kind of rich. I'm not saying that Kelsey has had an affair. Doesn't seem like she's had one. But her situation is not stable either.
Unknown Speaker 5 (17:29): I I guess it is now. But during the course of the show, what we saw was a woman that was living or allegedly living. The timing of that is weird considering when the show was filmed, but allegedly living with this man for most of her youth. And basically she was a gold digger. Mean, there's no other way to put it, right?
Unknown Speaker 6 (17:52): She was a cap woman. That's exactly her job.
Unknown Speaker (17:55): Let's call it that. She was a cap woman. Basically she was no, a cap
Unknown Speaker 6 (17:59): Cap digger is fine. We could call her, cause she's a sugar baby for sure. Sure. And I wonder, did she really just like meet him at 19 and that's it? They fell in love and the or, or is she a gold digger?
Unknown Speaker 6 (18:14): Like, did she seek out men with money?
Unknown Speaker 5 (18:18): No. I don't think she sought him out. Think she probably met him at 19, fell upon a good situation, and just landed there for a decade, and and now it's done. You know? But I I was a little bothered by her aggressiveness towards Rosie.
Unknown Speaker 6 (18:33): Well, she's been aggressive towards Rosie this entire show, the whole season, the whole franchise.
Unknown Speaker (18:41): Why is that?
Unknown Speaker 6 (18:42): I was just gonna say, Elle, and I don't know why. Her whole reason that she told the audience in the confessionals is about the hair, that she did her hair and then she didn't post it. And that's apparently where the feud started. And that's weird to me. Yeah.
Unknown Speaker (19:00): Do
Unknown Speaker (19:01): you get the feeling that oh, god. I hate I hate this word because it's such an ugly word. I know. It is. The feeling that there's a little resentment, maybe possible envy of Kelsey.
Unknown Speaker 5 (19:12): And if so, what is that about?
Unknown Speaker 6 (19:15): I was wondering that myself and I wanna know, do you think it's because she's just wanted to be the youngest and in her head the hottest? That's all I can think about is that they're the two youngest ones, because really the hair thing couldn't, that can't be why. Was
Unknown Speaker (19:37): there ever a world where they were friends?
Unknown Speaker 6 (19:40): No. So the show was gonna film And you know how in the beginning of a a housewives franchise, when they don't really know each other, they go out to lunch a couple times or they'll set them up to go to get drinks. So it was one of those. And she said, oh, I'll ask her to do my hair since she does hair.
Unknown Speaker (19:58): Got it. Got it. Got And we'll need
Unknown Speaker 6 (19:59): to get to know each other.
Unknown Speaker 5 (20:02): I think that Kelsey is jockeying for positioning on the show, and she goes for the low hanging fruit, which is Rosie. I think the fight about the square footage and even then she was rolling her eyes and then while Rosie was answering Andy's question about whether the house was done and how much square footage did it turn out to be. And she's excited to talk about it. And then you see Kelsey rolling her eyes. I'm imagining that that eye roll was happening in real time.
Unknown Speaker 5 (20:32): And then she has to bring up that the blueprint plans were actually the blueprint plans of the former person's house. I mean, honestly, at this point, who cares whose blueprint plans Which they Rosie said they were not, but they have the means, the resources and the drive to expand their house. And she does have four walls that she lives in and that she owns. Whereas Kelsey does not. Kelsey
Unknown Speaker 6 (20:57): does Kelsey lives with Bill. That's like she lives in his house, but Rosie and Richie, they have, like, their own home. And not to say one is better than the other, but don't throw stones. And, like, that's crazy to say that. I found her rage
Unknown Speaker 5 (21:21): towards Rosie just exhausting. And part of it didn't come across as authentic. Part of it came across, I've got low hanging fruit. I know I gotta come out like a villain because that's what you're supposed to do. And I feel like she was just looking for any way to expose Rosie over things that didn't even need to be exposed.
Unknown Speaker 5 (21:42): I think Rosie is being honest. I mean, she's like, I did not have an affair. Where are you getting this from? You know, Kelsey is bringing that Joellen energy. Kelsey's trying to bring that Joellen energy, you know, having to be right and prove something that doesn't that's not even a thing.
Unknown Speaker 5 (21:57): Like literally seems like she's trying to make a moment and there's no moment to be had.
Unknown Speaker 6 (22:01): Absolutely facts, girl. And by the way, she did get that five, thousand square feet. I don't know exactly how much it is or was added because I'm not gonna speculate on that, but they did do the addition and it's pretty big. So at the end of the day, she's happy. She doesn't know why this woman is just coming after her.
Unknown Speaker 6 (22:23): But you know what? You're right. And I don't know why I didn't think of the fact that she just needs an argument for the show. That's obviously so true, even if that's not the only reason.
Unknown Speaker (22:36): I'm sorry. I don't think Kelsey comes across as a genuine person. Don't think she comes across as a nice person at all. But her energy is very dark too. Oh, just sorry.
Unknown Speaker 5 (22:45): No, I'm just saying in addition, her energy is very dark. And maybe this is maybe she looks for moments like this in real life and this is how it shows up on the screen. But it does feel like I'm trying to produce a moment. And the things that she's accusing Rosie of is not even provocative enough to hold our attention, at least hold my attention. Know.
Unknown Speaker (23:03): Square footage of her house. I don't care. You know?
Unknown Speaker 6 (23:06): You messed with a coach when you were, like, 20. Who cares? Even if she did, who cares? But she said she never even met the man. And she's she was an on air was she a reporter?
Unknown Speaker 6 (23:19): Correct? Yeah. Yeah. She wouldn't lie about something like that. She knows that people can go and find out.
Unknown Speaker (23:26): I get the feeling she's telling the truth.
Unknown Speaker (23:28): I could
Unknown Speaker 5 (23:28): be wrong, but I got the feeling that she was honest. Someone who I don't think is always telling the truth though, and who's very secretive about their, how they move is Liz.
Unknown Speaker 6 (23:40): Oh my god. I knew you were gonna say that. We're so in sync on this. Yeah. Liz has a little dark side to her, in my opinion, just like you said about healthy and the way I feel about Jo Ellen.
Unknown Speaker 6 (23:54): They're their own little click, those three. And it seems like nobody else can get a word in edgewise. Like, you talk to one of them, they're just gonna gang gang up against you.
Unknown Speaker 5 (24:05): Absolutely. Absolutely. I mean, and just a side note, Liz, vaping on the reunion couch. A lot of things are going down on the reunion couch that have never gone down before. They're vaping on the reunion couch, taking phone calls.
Unknown Speaker 5 (24:19): Kathy Hilton's taking phone calls.
Unknown Speaker 6 (24:23): Rosie brought not a finder, but like a whole luggage.
Unknown Speaker (24:27): A gorgeous piece of luggage too. I wanted to see that luggage come out.
Unknown Speaker 6 (24:31): I know. I wanted her luggage to really get opened and, like, that would have been hilarious.
Unknown Speaker (24:36): Absolutely hilarious.
Unknown Speaker 6 (24:37): Poor woman spent hours making documents, and Annie's like, nope. This is your scene. You have to save your.
Unknown Speaker 5 (24:45): Exactly. One, one little side note about Liz that I caught this morning, and we don't know if it's true or not, but Robo and Cocktails reports that Liz will not reportedly be returning back for season two.
Unknown Speaker 6 (24:59): And I can't believe this and I don't know why. I heard that as well.
Unknown Speaker 5 (25:05): Yeah. Apparently and allegedly she chose to walk away from the show and some people seem to think that she's very bothered by what's being said about her online. Some are insinuating that maybe she's not ready for the heat that might come to her regarding the Dino of it all.
Unknown Speaker (25:23): Exactly. Yeah.
Unknown Speaker 5 (25:25): You know, it could be a lot of things. Liz strikes me as somebody who's very enthusiastic to jump into the drama of other people and to, you know, to give shade. Same
Unknown Speaker (25:36): way.
Unknown Speaker 5 (25:36): Yeah. To give shade and reads and all of the things. But when it comes to her personal life, she doesn't really want that to be uncovered.
Unknown Speaker 6 (25:46): Yeah, she was very private this season. Didn't wanna talk about anything regarding herself. It was almost as though she was a friend of to me. Interesting take. I thought she gave off friend of vibes, kind of like Dolores.
Unknown Speaker 6 (26:02): Like you'd see her there. She's in the scene, but she's not the main person. Well, except for the Alicia of it all and the Joellen of it all. She snapped on both of them.
Unknown Speaker 5 (26:15): Well, it's a possibility that the lawsuit could be a huge factor for sure. And, could you see a world where maybe Dolores, knowing what Teresa went through, maybe brought that up to her as her friend and told her just to kinda lay low, back down a little? I don't know. We're speculating. We don't know.
Unknown Speaker 6 (26:40): Right. Don't know if this news is real, but they are a very reputable source, I've I've found. Right? Yeah. They say something, and it usually ends up being true.
Unknown Speaker 6 (26:51): Mhmm. Ugh. Yeah. I think also she really loves Dino even as like a brother or just a best friend and so does her husband. So maybe the fact that he's facing all of these years, these felony charges, because he rejected that plea deal.
Unknown Speaker 6 (27:09): So there was a plea deal on the table and he rejected it. So now he's facing, it's like eighty years in jail.
Unknown Speaker (27:16): Wow. That's crazy.
Unknown Speaker 6 (27:18): And he would've gotten no time, but he wanted to just prove his I wouldn't have done that.
Unknown Speaker 5 (27:26): Oh, no. But, you know, she did look pretty uncomfortable on that reunion couch for the most part. It was interesting. She did kind of drop a couple of dimes that her and Jerry have had a couple of stints away in their marriage. Their marriage has not been a seamless, perfect one.
Unknown Speaker 5 (27:45): So I I actually appreciated that kind of honesty. You know? The extent to which she's had an affair with Dino or with other people, that's still being debated. But it sounds like she might have had some things going on the middle of their couple of separation in the middle of the couple of times that they separated that, probably give the illusion that she might have, been unfaithful. I I don't think she's I don't know if she's been unfaithful.
Unknown Speaker 6 (28:14): I mean, we really it's so hard to say because it's been So '22 it could have been one person was first, then the other one back at the That's usually how it goes, right? Yeah. And now it's twenty two years later. I don't think they're doing any of that. I think they're in a really good place right now.
Unknown Speaker 5 (28:32): Yeah. I think so too. I gotta give it up, though. I gotta give a standing ovation to the men of Rhode Island.
Unknown Speaker (28:39): Me too. Yes.
Unknown Speaker 5 (28:40): I love this friend group.
Unknown Speaker 6 (28:43): Yes. Me too. I feel like we've got old school jersey bags.
Unknown Speaker (28:48): Oh, for sure.
Unknown Speaker 6 (28:49): I love when the men are a part of the show.
Unknown Speaker (28:51): I do too. And I gotta tell you, I love Rich. Rich is giving Prank Sinatra. I looked at him. I'm like, yeah.
Unknown Speaker 5 (28:57): You do look a little like early Prank Sinatra.
Unknown Speaker (29:00): I guess he does.
Unknown Speaker 5 (29:00): Or late Frank Sinatra rather. Not early. Maybe late Frank Yeah,
Unknown Speaker 6 (29:04): I thought like this lower chin thing going on. No. Yeah. I could see that.
Unknown Speaker (29:08): Yeah. Yeah. They're so sweet.
Unknown Speaker 6 (29:11): They're all so sweet with the exception of, I don't know if Brian is the sweetest, but even Gary was defending Jo Ellen so hard. Just to go back to that, I just loved how he had her back. He's like, he's not gonna give it up. Just say it. And he's like, liar.
Unknown Speaker 6 (29:30): Like, he really had his wife's back. I love that.
Unknown Speaker 5 (29:32): Yeah. I I I love that too. And I do think that Joellen was really kind of going at this because of her upset about how Brian came after her job.
Unknown Speaker 6 (29:44): And some would say rightfully so because who Yeah. Does
Unknown Speaker 5 (29:49): at the expense of truly hurting her friend, I don't know. I think she could have pulled the brakes on that one a little bit, but anyways, the men were, so fun to watch. I mean, they were dressed to the hilt.
Unknown Speaker (30:02): They were Turquoise And and
Unknown Speaker 5 (30:05): I love how they clocked Brian's teeth. They know Brian is doing dirty.
Unknown Speaker 6 (30:09): They know it. All know. Jared was like, you just gotta tell the truth, man. You just gotta tell her everything. They all know.
Unknown Speaker 6 (30:17): It's it's kinda hilarious. He must feel so anxious and just like everything's on him. He must've had so much anxiety. I would've.
Unknown Speaker 5 (30:29): Oh, he looked entirely, entirely nervous. The bottom line is the man has been cheating for years has been cheating with this woman. Rula has known about it. Rula probably wanted to keep that private. Rula.
Unknown Speaker 5 (30:43): Jo Ellen threatened that. And Jo Ellen is coming at her because she's still mad. So
Unknown Speaker 6 (30:48): Yeah. Or she probably just wanted it to be like any other housewives where let's say a spec like no. Like a speculation comes up. Right? Then they they talk about it and they argue, but I've never really seen someone go to the lengths that Jo Ellen has gone She's
Unknown Speaker (31:06): like, you're a psychopath.
Unknown Speaker 6 (31:07): Housewife, though.
Unknown Speaker (31:09): Like, you're a psychopath. She's like, I know.
Unknown Speaker (31:11): She's like, thank you. I know.
Unknown Speaker (31:13): She's so busy.
Unknown Speaker 6 (31:14): Amazing for the show. As a person, I don't know.
Unknown Speaker 5 (31:20): I think there's a good person inside there. I really do. But I think she can be the polar opposite too and I think she could be evil as all get out. And I think we saw that on this reunion.
Unknown Speaker 6 (31:31): I don't know what she wants Rula to do. Like, are you why do you keep trying? She knows her husband's eating.
Unknown Speaker (31:38): Not about Rula. This is about exposing Brian.
Unknown Speaker (31:40): This is
Unknown Speaker (31:40): not about Rula. No. No. That's what I kinda finally landed on. Don't believe
Unknown Speaker (31:45): that this is about Ruling. Yeah.
Unknown Speaker (31:48): Rhode Island was a fun watch this season. Alicia, to me, is the breakout star, and I can't wait to see more of her. I can't wait till her cracker line comes out. I know I didn't say that right, but, I can't wait till that comes out. I'm I'm going to have some crackers, turkey, and pepperoni and cheese in her honor today.
Unknown Speaker 6 (32:08): I know. Right? Me too. I want some pepperoni and crackers.
Unknown Speaker (32:12): Oh my gosh. It sounds so good. On a scale of one to five, how did this freshman season of a franchise, Rhode Island, ring for you?
Unknown Speaker 6 (32:24): I swear it's a five out of five for sure. I think it refreshed Bravo as a whole, honestly.
Unknown Speaker (32:31): I think so.
Unknown Speaker 6 (32:32): Yeah. Like now we have the old housewife energy again. I liked it a lot. I like that they don't just drive around and go to dinners. I like that they actually, the producers, like they make it seem like they're living their entire lives.
Unknown Speaker (32:48): That's true.
Unknown Speaker (32:49): That is true. Yeah. Girl clothes are a little stale.
Unknown Speaker 5 (32:54): I really love the show. For example, in comparison to New Jersey, which I have always liked a bit less, we didn't get the old recycled manufactured Teresa, Joe, Melissa drama that's just toxic and dark. We got really fresh franchise who had a lot of fun making this show, I think. And a little less excited about Jersey, but we'll see where that goes.
Unknown Speaker 6 (33:23): Same, honestly. I'm worried about Jersey.
Unknown Speaker 5 (33:27): Yeah, but maybe they'll surprise us. Great show, Great franchise. Y'all did it well. Alicia, you are the breakout star. I hope that in the interim that Ashley finds her voice and starts to learn how to rock with these women and give some clap back.
Unknown Speaker 5 (33:45): Definitely need it.
Unknown Speaker 6 (33:46): Good point about Ashley. Yeah.
Unknown Speaker 5 (33:48): And Rosie keep doing what you're doing. You're absolutely adorable. Rula is a little bit more strategic than people give her credit for. So keep watching that woman steps. Trust me.
Unknown Speaker 5 (33:59): She's not that, she's not that in the dark. She's not that
Unknown Speaker 6 (34:02): in really the am sad about Liz. You're absolutely right about Rula, though. She knows everything. She's so smart. Yeah.
Unknown Speaker 6 (34:10): But, yeah, I'm gonna miss Liz, and I guess good for her. It's just I'm selfishly want her on the cast.
Unknown Speaker 5 (34:20): And I do hope that Kelsey and Rosie do come to form at least an alliance on the show where it's not a manufactured drama because I think that there's probably something there that could be cultivated in the form of a friendship. But we shall see. We'll shall see. Another franchise down and next stop is Atlanta.
