RSS Feed Shtick or Real? The Golden Life Premiere Recap
Sonja, Ramona, and a Palm Beach party with a very strict door
Key Takeaways
- In The Golden Life premiere recap, behavioral analyst Elle Schwartz examines whether the outrageous antics from the RHONY OGs in Palm Beach are genuine or pure shtick.
- Luann de Lesseps kicks off the drama by sneaking into Sonja Morgan's comedy show wearing a blonde disguise.
- Ramona Singer creates chaos by turning strangers away from her curated party, referring to Luann's crew as her workers, and ultimately losing the argument when the production tape is rolled back.
- Sonja Morgan brings classic chaos to a yacht cocktail party in a bathing suit, instantly reopening old Bluestone Manor wounds with Dorinda Medley.
- Elle Schwartz applies her professional background to analyze the edit, separating manufactured reality television moments from authentic human behavior.
The RHONY originals are back, and Palm Beach never stood a chance. In this recap of The Golden Life Season 1 Episode 1, Golden Years in a Golden Place, Elle Schwartz, behavioral analyst and host of The Good Edit Unfiltered, walks scene by scene through the E! premiere. Luann sneaks into Sonja’s comedy show in a blonde wig. Harry Dubin is back, and his story about Sonja does not match hers. Ramona turns strangers away from her curated party, calls Luann’s crew her workers, and loses the argument when the tape gets rolled back. Sonja shows up to a yacht cocktail party in a bathing suit, reopens the Bluestone Manor wound with Dorinda, and spirals at dinner. Then Michael gets a welcome on the dance floor that goes way past friendly. Elle asks the big question of the night, shtick or real person, for Sonja and Ramona alike. Plus who gets into the room in Palm Beach, seasoned women chic, and predictions for the spine of the season: how close Sonja really is to Luann and Dorinda. Questions, highlights, analysis, and predictions, with the context you will not get anywhere else. Listen in, then tell us your take, Edittors. Follow for new recaps every week and leave us a rating.
