The Good Edit Unfiltered is hosted by Elle Schwartz, a behavioral analyst and retired educator who watches reality television the way she spent a career watching people.

Elle spent her working life in behavioral analysis, school counseling, special education, and university teaching. She now applies that training to how reality television is built, and to what the edit does to the women on screen.

This is a show about context. The story an audience is handed is not always the story that happened. Elle challenges her listeners to understand the nuances of the housewife experience, including how that experience is sometimes shifted unfairly by the way an episode is cut. The result is analysis that takes these women seriously as people rather than punchlines.
Every week brings scene by scene recaps, deep dive analysis, and conversations with rotating guests from across the reality and podcast worlds. Coverage spans the Bravo universe, Married at First Sight, and Love Island USA.

The show is produced by Layered Media Inc. and Rude Mood Media, and executive produced by Elle Schwartz and Ric Swartzlander, a former comedy writer and showrunner with more than thirty years in television across CBS, NBC, ABC, and Disney, and a member of the Writers Guild of America.

The Good Edit Unfiltered is the number one all time indie Real Housewives podcast on Goodpods and continues to rise in rank.

Palm Beach was supposed to be the easy life. In Episode 2 of The Golden Life, the OGs learn that old wounds travel south with you. Breakfast opens with Ramona ordering for the latecomers, then doing something RHONY fans rarely saw: she apologizes. Luann gets her moment over Ramona calling Roger and Max her employees, and Dorinda plays peacemaker, reminding everyone that Luann is the queen bee in her own world. Then the video comes out. Sonja, all over Luann’s boyfriend Michael, and the laughs around the breakfast table cover very real discomfort. Luann wonders out loud whether Sonja is drinking again, and whether she gets jealous of other people’s relationships. By the time the coffee is gone, Sonja has been diagnosed by a table she isn’t sitting at. Kelly is on Raya with a bench of five men. Her date is Nick, a fun snowboarder, but the real spark seems to belong to Juan, the horse trainer. Kelly admits she has never been in love, and suddenly the party girl has a search story. Over at Luann and Michael’s, Luann trades tennis for pickleball, and we see something new: Luann, head over heels and genuinely bothered that Michael ignored her and stayed in the moment with Sonja. Avery steals the episode. Ramona leans on her like a sister, and Avery coaches her mom to stay out of the intervention. Then she hands Luann a script for a real apology: acknowledge Sonja’s hurt first, then share your own. On the yacht, Luann confronts Sonja, who calls the Michael moment hot and reaches back to the oldest wound in the group: Tom. Sonja still believes Luann took him. Elle asks the hard question. If Tom wanted Sonja, wouldn’t Tom have married Sonja? A cocktail or mocktail lunch turns into a sobriety standoff when even Kelly sides with the table. Luann rescues it with a toast to the golden life and letting your freak flag fly, and the truce lasts one smash cut. Kelly shares boyfriend tea, Sonja tells her to shut it up, and Luann makes peace for the second time in one episode. Behavioral analyst Elle Schwartz breaks down deflection, jealousy, why Sonja saves her best behavior for the one friend who never checks her, and how a missing apology can hold a friendship hostage for years.
