Speaker 0 (0:15): Happy Memorial Day. Happy Memorial Day, fam.
Unknown Speaker (0:19): I know. I'm so glad for this day off, aren't you?
Speaker 0 (0:22): Yes, I am. I feel like I can relax. Although it's raining on the East Coast, So my East Coast sisters and brothers, I'm sorry, same year. My gosh. Know.
Unknown Speaker (0:34): Elle is like, oh my God, it's not supposed to on Memorial Day.
Unknown Speaker (0:37): It's so gorgeous. I cannot wait to get outside to enjoy it. Literally can't wait to do that. But before we get into the fun of it all, and by the way, the rain is lovely, you know, place in Billy Holiday. It is.
Unknown Speaker (0:49): Yeah.
Unknown Speaker (0:50): Have a nice glass of red wine and kick back and enjoy and process real housewives of Rhode Island in Atlanta, which I just finished watching. Watching. But we wanted just to come on the mic and say that we will not be recapping today because it is a holiday, which is definitely a holy day to give back to self. So we just wanted to let you guys know that we are on the case. We've watched the shows.
Speaker 1 (1:12): We'll be recapping tomorrow. So you hear those two episodes drop tomorrow.
Speaker 0 (1:16): And we're excited about it. We can't wait.
Speaker 1 (1:19): Yes. Plus we need rest and recovery from that very dynamic discussion with Doctor. And Wendy Kimberly Bryant from This Is Kimberly A. Bryant and Wow. Right?
Speaker 0 (1:30): And if you haven't listened to it yet, do that today. Seriously.
Unknown Speaker (1:34): Yes.
Speaker 0 (1:35): It was so meaningful and thoughtful and informative.
Unknown Speaker (1:41): Right. And I'll even go on the mic to say that we have gotten a lot of critical acclaim for it more than we thought. Yay. And even some from some Bravo love. So, you know, thank you.
Speaker 1 (1:53): Thank you for your endorsement. We appreciate it. And the conversation will continue, but honestly, Kat, I literally need a day to process what I just watched back to back. I wanted just to knock them out. Rhode Island and Atlanta.
Unknown Speaker (2:08): I don't know which one was worse.
Speaker 0 (2:10): Oh my God. I think Atlanta was worse actually.
Unknown Speaker (2:14): Yeah, but it ended with a bang literally.
Speaker 0 (2:19): Atlanta ended with a bang and Rhode Island had one the whole time. I think
Speaker 1 (2:25): I'm not here for the constant drama. Can get old and tired, but I will say that the way this ended was giving Porsche Kenya energy. It was giving Nini Reese Kim Zolciak energy. Did. And and I'm talking about, like, the last minute of the episode.
Speaker 1 (2:44): I'm also gonna use this time to work by the pool, work on some production aspects of the show, but I also need to do a bit of a deep dive on Kay Michelle because I have to understand her psychology and I don't think I'm entirely dialed in. I do have a bit of goss about her. I'll share it tomorrow.
Unknown Speaker (3:02): Oh, I'm excited.
Unknown Speaker (3:04): Oh, hell. I'll just share it now.
Unknown Speaker (3:05): Woo
Unknown Speaker (3:06): hoo. I gotta tell you, I give much respect for Kay Michelle. She dated Idris Elba.
Speaker 0 (3:13): I saw that. Oh my god. Good for her.
Speaker 1 (3:16): Back in 2013, even wrote a song about it. Dated and liked to hear a song about it a year ago. And, I'm gonna drop those links, in the notes tomorrow, but you know, very impressive. And I hate, I hate that she has received clap back from fans who says, oh, well, you just weren't smart enough. I mean, come on people.
Unknown Speaker (3:37): She dated Idris. You didn't. So she clearly has something going on.
Unknown Speaker (3:41): Exactly. He's smart. So clearly she's smart. We've heard him. He's an intelligent man.
Speaker 1 (3:50): Right. And I will say this. I do applaud that she has nothing but good things to say about him and said that she learned a lot from him. So clearly the relationship was more than just the salaciousness that people automatically think it was and and limit her to that. So, hey, Kaye.
Speaker 1 (4:13): Pretty depressing. You got Idris.
Speaker 0 (4:16): Yes. Good job, girl. And now she has a dentist. So come on. She can't be she's gotta be a good girlfriend and wife because she gets these, like, decent guys.
Unknown Speaker (4:28): Yeah. Right?
Speaker 0 (4:29): Because there's a stable paycheck. A dentist that's like a lot of money every year.
Unknown Speaker (4:35): And free dental care.
Speaker 0 (4:37): Girl, free den. Oh my God. I would love that. I would get veneers so quick. Her teeth are gorgeous,
Unknown Speaker (4:44): but yeah. So I think there's a lot of I'm gonna just end with this. I think there's a lot of depth to Kay Michelle. There's some layers there, but there's some trauma there that really is coming to the forefront. We're gonna talk about it tomorrow.
Speaker 0 (5:00): Yeah. You've gotta watch the reunion, the old reunion. And I'm sorry. I don't know it off the top of my head, but it was about eight years ago, and it was a mean situation that she did have to deal with. So a lot of the fans were actually on her side when she was coming into Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Speaker 0 (5:20): But then now what she's doing is not so cool.
Speaker 1 (5:24): Yeah. Definitely, definitely send me the season and the episode because I definitely wanna watch that. I wanna understand her psychology. There's something there. There's a lot of pain and hurt there, and I wanna know more about that.
Speaker 1 (5:39): But to actually and I I know I was joking about the Idris stuff, but to actually date Idris Elba says something because that man is incredibly smart, incredibly layered. He's into music. I'm sure that there's something that they connected with just based on how he grew up. You know? So I'm excited to know more about her, but I gotta tell you, I'm a little confused by it.
Unknown Speaker (6:06): Rhode Island, so much to talk about. Oh, I can't wait to get into that.
Unknown Speaker (6:08): Oh, I can't wait.
Unknown Speaker (6:09): I cannot wait. I cannot wait. I was ready to do it now. You're like, but no, it's a royal day. No.
Unknown Speaker (6:16): No. No. No. No. I don't want it now.
Unknown Speaker (6:17): I don't want to do it now. We'll do it tomorrow.
Unknown Speaker (6:19): But,
Unknown Speaker (6:20): yes. I
Speaker 0 (6:22): That's okay because Sunday no. Because today's Monday, and I'm sure nothing's playing tonight because of, the holiday.
Unknown Speaker (6:31): Probably the Twilight Zone marathon, which is my favorite thing to do on Memorial Day. Don't even know if they still
Unknown Speaker (6:34): I used enjoy to watch that.
Unknown Speaker (6:36): Oh, I love that show.
Unknown Speaker (6:37): Oh my gosh. Yes. But
Speaker 1 (6:39): I will say I have a soft spot in my heart for Alicia's experience as well as Rosie's. And I'm going to shed some light about why Alicia is naming that she was homeless. That will make it make total sense. I actually wanted to get in a plane and knock on Liz Stewart says this is what she really meant. I have so many thoughts.
Unknown Speaker (7:01): But but it will make sense for you guys tomorrow. So I guess that's why I was excited to kinda validate her experience.
Speaker 0 (7:10): And I'm not gonna say anything because I wanted to explain it as well. That's so funny that you
Unknown Speaker (7:16): Oh, yeah. Okay. You keep your explanation to yourself. That's all we always do. Let's surprise each other and to see where it lands.
Speaker 1 (7:21): I love that. We literally don't know what everybody's gonna talk about sometimes to my surprise, aghast and detriment. I know. Anyways. Okay, sis.
Unknown Speaker (7:35): Have fun today. You too. You too. Get some well-being house.
Unknown Speaker (7:40): Some sun. Yeah. I'm gonna have to do some TV watching because-
Unknown Speaker (7:45): Yes.
Speaker 0 (7:45): Do. We're coming out there for us today.
Speaker 1 (7:47): Oh, we are getting into the sun of it all today. Yeah. But I will see you at 04:30AM to record. We'll be dropping that Rhode Island episode to you by 12:00 tomorrow. So stay tuned.
Speaker 0 (8:02): Stay tuned. Okay. Have a great day, everyone.
Unknown Speaker (8:05): You too. Bye.
